I recently realized that I need to start doing a weekly ThrowBack Thursday to catch up on all of the good times that I have skipped over in the last 6 months or so. I have missed many major Holidays including Halloween, ThanksGiving, my Birthday, Christmas, and many other fun days that we have had. I'll have to look through pics to remember all of what has happened. But for now, lets start from oh so long ago...
Happy Halloween 2013!
We were very indecisive in the weeks and days leading to Halloween, would we do anything at all? We don't like doing some lame costume that looks like it only took 5 minutes to completely pull together, maybe its the theater that is in us. We ended up not planning anything until the few days before the Holiday... if not the night before... We were definitely on the verge of being included in the group of lame people who throw things together super last minute.
We were planning to hang out with some of our friends and get dinner and hangout downtown. The plan had been to go as Zombies, but with Walking Dead, World War Z, and all the other lame/creepy movies and references to zombies in the recent past I was pretty much over them and decided they could be zombies but I'd be a skeleton. Matt joined me in our skeleton endeavors!
Since Matt is such an awesome artist he looked up a few pics of face paint for skeletons and Wah-La! Apparently, there was a music video by Lady Gaga that had some skeletons in it and they contributed as inspiration for the artist. I can't even tell you how many pics of face paint I looked at.
I told him I didn't want to look mean, but I ended up looking scary anyway... I did find some rad leggings with skeleton bones on them tho :) It was perfect.
I think we looked Awesome when all was said and done. I like looking like we put time and effort into our costumes and having it come out well. I mean we did have to compete with these costumes from a couple years before.
Our friends, Tim & Janalie, did end up dressing up as Zombies, and we went out to eat at one of Flagstaff's local restaurants called the Lumber Yard. Pretty much all of Flagstaff is crawling with College Students and apparently that is one of their favorite places to get beer... I wouldn't know.
It was a fun night and some pretty fun costumes!
